Description
The Quickie QS7 X Ultra Lightweight Folding Wheelchair
For four decades, the Quickie portfolio has been defined by innovative technology that sets our products apart. The Quickie QS7 X brings our best innovations together in one premium folding wheelchair. Precise and effortless folding of the QS5 X, the frame technology and ride performance of the QS7 R, and the unique folding front frame from the RGK FX range. The result is a chair that lifts lighter, rides easier and folds smaller.
LIGHTEST FOR LIFTING FROM 6.7 KG TRANSPORT WEIGHT
How do you build a ready to ride folding wheelchair at just 6.7kg and still deliver outstanding rigidity? It starts with advanced materials and the engineering expertise that defines Quickie. The difference is something you feel instantly, making every fold, every lift and every transfer effortless.
NEED AN EVEN LIGHTER CHAIR?
Achieve the lightest configuration possible with our Pro frame option, a fixed welded backrest and centre of gravity position removes adjustment to deliver an even lighter package. This brings your chair down to 6.4kg, only 400g heavier than a Quickie QS7 R.
AEROSPACE-GRADE MATERIAL
Built from 7000 series aluminium, our highest grade frame material available for active manual chairs. A proven technology that is currently used on the Quickie QS7 R, it is the lightest material choice for any active chair.
OVALISED TUBE DESIGN
Patented oval tubing further increases frame stiffness while using less material than conventional round tubes; saving on weight without compromising on the quality or strength of the chair. The oval shape also prevents components from rotating, reducing moving parts and ensuring a more precise, responsive ride.
TRANSPORT EFFORTLESS TRANSPORT, EVERY TIME
The QS7 X ditches the bulky ‘box frame’ of conventional folding chairs for an open frame design that’s lighter, more compact, and easier to lift independently.
INNOVATIVE FRONT FOLD, FITS IN SPACES WHERE OTHERS DON’T
Inspired by the RGK FX range, our innovative FrontFold™ frame takes folding to another level. In one smooth motion, the front of the chair folds neatly underneath the seat canvas, further reducing the folded package for easier transfers and storage.
DESIGNED FOR EASIER TRANSPORT
FrontFold™ was created with transport in mind. Space will be at a premium whether you’re catching a taxi with friends, heading off on holiday, or completing an independent car transfer; the QS7 X is considerably easier to fold, lift and store.
ROLLING PERFORMANCE MAKING EVERY PUSH COUNT
Folding shouldn’t mean settling for sub-standard rolling efficiency. The QS7 X’s frame is made from 7000 series aluminium, with ovalised tubing and a hollow forged castor housing, maximising stiffness and rigidity. Every ounce of your energy is then translated into forward motion, not lost in the flex of the frame. The redesigned cross brace is tucked seamlessly inside the seat rails which completely locks the frame when unfolded, further reducing movement and delivering a planted feel and responsive ride.
RE-DESIGNED CROSS BRACE
The re-designed cross brace positions the seat rails seamlessly inside the frame. This fully locks out the frame to minimise any flex, which increases the overall pushing efficiency and tucks the folding mechanism away to create a clean and open aesthetic that you would historically only find on a rigid chair.
TAILORED CASTOR GEOMETRY
The castor to rear wheel relationship is key to efficiency. Whatever your configuration, we tailor each setup so that it is optimised to your frame angle and inset for smoother handling and efficient propulsion.
